A Win for Hardware Suppliers and Customers

ICI Dulux has been named BBC Hardware's 1997 Supplier of the Year. "While Dulux has received an award, it is our customers who are the ultimate winners", said Dulux's General Manager - Decorative, Mr Tony Jackson.

Each year approximately 150 BBC Hardware stores across Australia rate their suppliers in areas ranging from product and packaging, to availability of product literature and customer information.

BBC Hardware puts their suppliers under the microscope to encourage them to meet 100% of BBC's expectations. The detailed results provided to suppliers confirms or sets a benchmark on their performance and tells them where they can still improve.

ICI Dulux is not a recent convert to the idea that customer satisfaction is the foundation of its success. "Over the last ten years, training programs and marketing initiatives have been developed and streamlined to deliver today's 'World Best Practices' in customer service," added Mr Jackson.

"Of the seven years BBC Hardware have conducted this award, ICI Dulux has won it four times and run second twice", commented Dulux's National Account Manager - Reseller Market, Mel Roeder.
