Orica Limited ('Orica') today announced it has entered into an agreement for the acquisition of 100% of Strata Control Systems, a leading provider of underground support systems to the mining and tunnelling markets in Australia. Details of the transaction are commercial in confidence.

The acquisition complements the recent Minova and Excel acquisitions and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2008.
